We seem to do a lot of painting. What a fresh coat of paint can do to a room, no less a school.

Last summer we did a major renovation to one of our local school. The school supplied the material and Hope For Sderot provided the labor , the new design and the color scheme. This summer we will be doing another major renovation on another school here in town.

Some school just don’t have the money to fix and paint. I guess it’s the same everywhere, school seldom get what they need to make it a pleasant learning environment for their students. They do the best they can with what they have. So when we were approached by the principal of one of our local school to see if there was anything we could do to help them out this summer, we told her we would come and take a look and see how we could help.

We went and took a look at the nine classrooms, five offices and the teachers’ lounge and our creative juices started to flow! We gave them an estimate of the material and a new color scheme and design. The cost of the material they can cover, the labor Hope For Sderot will do. We are now waiting to see who GOD will send us to help complete the project before school opens up in September.

The labor is what would make a project like this cost prohibitive but the labor is a gift from Hope For Sderot as we help to make a better learning environment for these kid.

There is a lot of work to do but we think we can get it done before the new school year. We will keep you updated was we progress.

We are presently  doing some painting for the very first school we ever helped. It has been 4 years since we were last there and they asked if we could come and just touch up the walls around the trash cans in each class room… How could we say no? We started last Sunday and was should be done by the end of next week, just in time to pack up our tool and head to our next school for our major summer project.
