Hope For Sderot Update

The summer months have been extremely hard on us as donations dipped. We have had to cut back dramatically on the number of people we have been able to help for months but we are hoping that will all change.

It is very difficult to sit and decide who we will be able to help and those we will have to say “no” too; all that falls on Eti’s shoulders and it is a heavy weight.

Just about all 450 families we help have her cell phone number. Along with the normal calls she receives each day for help, whether it be for diapers, clothing, food or some other need, her phone never stops ringing. When you have a heart the size of Texas each and every time she has to say “Sorry we can’t help right now” it kills her.

In the weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah she received numerous call asking for help, to most of them she had to say “Sorry we can’t help now”. It is even hard for her to walk down the street without being stopped by someone on our list asking her for help or asking “What will I do” when she has to say “Sorry we can’t help now”.

The economy still has not improved and people are still struggling to feed their families and many don’t live from pay check to paycheck but rather from day to day.

We need your help. There are a few ways you can help. One way is to forward our newsletter to your friend and post in on the social networks you us. Getting the word out is an important part of what we do. Another way is simple and costs you nothing.

Next time you shop on line at Amazon.com log on to smile amazon.com;  All you have to do is designate Hope For Sderot as the charity you want them to help and they will send us a portion of your purchase. The prices you pay for your purchases are the same and it costs you nothing. This is just one way Amazon.com helps us.

Lastly would you consider becoming a monthly donor or making a onetime donation today, it too is easy, Just click here to do so. Maybe the group you are part of might want to help; maybe you could take our newsletter with you to your next meeting; However you choose to help please know we appreciate your help and support. .
