The Cease Fire ended at 8:00:28 Friday Morning when the first rocket was fired into Israel.

Since then  68 incidents reported, more than 85 rockets have been fired since the cease fire ended at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning, Four of those were at Sderot.

When the cease fire went into effect on Tuesday of this past week it took a good day and a half for that constant churning in your gut to stop and for the next day and a half it was wonderful.

I was wondering just how long it would be before Hamas picked up where they left off and it only took 28 seconds after 8:00 a.m. by 10:26 a.m. that churning was back as the third of four rockets were fired at Sderot.

There was one report that quoted Hamas as saying “Israel will never win” and I thought to myself “What are they smoking over there?” Then the hard reality hit me. As long as Hamas uses human shield to protect themselves, to fight behind and they use UN schools, playgrounds and civilians homes to store their weapons in, Israel will never be able to rid Gaza of Hamas or their weapons.

Short of Israel going into Gaza and level the entire strip having no regard for human life… and Israel will never do that, this problem will never go away for good. There will be times of quiet and every few years we will be right back to where we are today. That is just my opinion, I could be wrong but history so far is on my side.

Now on to a happier news!… .

As we were packing food bags on Tuesday we saw 35 people come by to see if they could pick up their food, to that we were more than happy to give out food as fast as we were packing it.
Wednesday we came to our storefront to 15 people standing in line waiting for us to open.

Once the ice was put into the water jug we opened our door. By the end of the day 229 families came to pick up their food and 21 bags were set to be delivered on Thursday morning. In all 250 families received their food on the first distribution day of the month; normally only 115 come in per week.

Besides food, baby diapers went out all day long as well as adult incontinence supplies, clothing and school supplies and it was done without one rocket being fired at us or a ‘Tseva Adom” alarm going off.

As always we appreciate your support and we still need your help to take care of those who have come to Hope For Sderot as their safety net. There might be talks of a new cease fire but that does not change the financial situations 13 years of rocket attacks have caused many in Sderot.

If you are already helping THANK YOU. If you have never helped us before maybe today you would consider helping today.

We still need your support and prayers. If you can support us you can do so by clicking here. If you not able at this time to help with support please say a prayer for us, prayers cost nothing, just a little of your time but they can move mountains and more important Hearts. Maybe you can send this update to those on your mailing list to help get the word out about the situation in Sderot. Toda Raba.
